Another thing to think about is this. Staff are chosen because of their skills, and their trust within the community. The staff of Minetown are chosen through a selection process not done by a computer, gathering stats about the player, how many times they've been banned etc. they are done by real people, evaluating their trust and skills, and why they would benefit Minetown even more. And of course, there aren't very many people that apply anyway.

Just to clarify. Minecraft SMP mainly runs slowly, not because of the CPU involved is alot, because it requires a fast connection. Minecraft also uses TCP, which from my research, runs significantly slower than UDP, because it implements reliability.

I don't actually have any privileges and permissions that can be used for bad. Dev only gives you the privs of a $300 donator, but no mod privs.
